PRINCIPALS' CENTER PROGRAMS

Beginning Principals Academy
Start Date: Wednesday, September 29, 2010

WHO: School leaders in their first or second year of the principalship.

WHAT: Beginning principals will participate in reflective and collaborative professional development related to effective school-level leadership directly linked to the school administrator's main role of facilitating high-quality teaching and learning. Participants will work together and with workshop leaders to apply the latest research and best practices and to enhance their personal leadership capacity and instructional leadership skills. The Georgia PSC and the Georgia DOE Leadership Standards will be used as the foundation for all learning experiences. Workshop sessions will be lead by successful veteran principals.
